Yesterday (16th) was my birthday. I received birthday wishes from family, always a nice thing. Spoke to my father for the first time since Christmas.
Natalia returned from the US. She brought me some grape-jelly, pancake mix, hot chocolate, and other difficult-to-obtain goodies. For my birthday, she gave me a new watch and some shirts.
I wore the watch and one of my new shirts to Piano Bar, on top of the Stary Brower in downtown PoznaĆ. A beautiful resturant, with of course, a piano man. (no, he didn’t play Piano Man) Our coats checked, our table reserved, the wine poured, our food eaten. In between, I handed Natalia a new ring, to wear as a day-to-day replacement for her original wedding ring. The original cracked last month, I believe it was too small for her finger. That was our belated valentines.

I was happy to get the ring. Not because I like it so much (I do like it a lot), but because Eric was so nervous about giving it that he wouldn’t listen to anything I’d say until I had the ring on my finger.
