Since I know some of you are reading for reasons of personal interest, not for matters of technology, so I’ll grace you with some personal stuff. Unfortunately, since business runs so deep into my personal life, all apologizes for any mingling of these that will be undoubtedly following this paragraph.
Natalia and I are discussing if we should return state-side. We’ve been living in Poland since September. This is a potential move that we do not take lightly and will not do without careful consideration. However, I wouldn’t mention it if there wasn’t a very strong possibility of it happening. I love it in Poland, but I’m quite carefree with these things. Natalia, however, cannot continue working from home, such things are not for everyone, and the Polish income is too low for any realistic consideration.
Furthermore, there is one major life change that is guaranteed. While GrokThis was in its infancy, I had to maintain supplimental income through employment and contracts. This meant that I spent about 8 hours a day for GrokThis.net and 8 hours a day for others. Thats a lot of hours! A few months ago, the last of my contracts expired, and as of July 1st, I will be free of all supplimental employment! Well, mostly. I’ll still maintain at least some form of advisory role until September as they work to phase out their only Linux-based product, but it should be fairly low maintenance.
Thus, my time will be approximately 99% devoted to GrokThis.net as of July 1st and 100% devoted as of September 1st.
Thats really good news for GrokThis, and even better news for me.
